OHIO ARTS COUNCIL AND OTHER AWARDS
The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
In 2019 the Ohio Arts Council funded my three-month residency at the Fine Arts Work Center of Provincetown, MA. The residency was the outgrowth of my 2018 OAC Individual Excellence Award in poetry, as well as poems first presented at the 2017 Symposium of the Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature (SSML), where supportive fellow poets and literary critics advised me on revision. I was appointed to the SSML advisory board in May 2012, and served as President of SSML in 2017-18.
